Teaching 4 - European policies, programmes and projects: how to move and communicate

The module has the aim of providing key elements to understand on one side European project design and, on the other side, the tools and the sources of research. In particular, the module intends to provide skills for the research and the interpretation of European calls; students will have the opportunity to acquire tools of project design and evaluation of the impact of the projects and to understand the methodologies and keywords necessary to think about projects in a community dimension. Students will be introduced to the main European research centers and their functioning, which is useful for studying and project design activities.
Thematic focus:- 1. The general framework of European fundings, their functioning, the guidelines that inspire them;
- 2. The financial framework of the European Union, the priorities, the programs, and the main calls for proposals;
- 3. The keywords of European design (subsidiarity, community, added value for the community, transnationality, innovation etc …);
- 4. The creation of partnerships;
- 5. The cycle of planning, the project management, the dissemination of results, and the communication of their impact;
- 6. How to write a concept note.
